Privacy Policy
StatuteRates is a static reference website. We keep this simple because we collect very little: there are no accounts, and the calculators run entirely in your browser.
Last updated July 15, 2026.
Who we are
StatuteRates publishes reference data on statutory, judgment, and tax interest rates. The site is a set of static pages served over HTTPS. You can reach us at [email protected].
What we collect
- Nothing you type stays with us. The interest calculators compute in your browser (client-side JavaScript). The amounts and dates you enter are never sent to us or stored.
- No accounts, no sign-up, no marketing emails. We don't ask for your name, email, or any personal information to use the site.
- Standard server logs. Like almost all websites, our hosting and content-delivery providers (currently Cloudflare and GitHub Pages) automatically record basic technical requests — IP address, browser type, and the page requested — to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use these logs to identify you.
Advertising & cookies
This site is supported by display advertising. When advertising is enabled, we use Google AdSense, a third-party advertising service provided by Google LLC. To show ads, Google and its partners may:
- Use cookies and similar technologies (including the DoubleClick/Google advertising cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Collect information such as your IP address, device and browser information, and interactions with ads, in accordance with Google's advertising policies.
Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, and opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info/choices (or youronlinechoices.eu in Europe). You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site's data and calculators will still work.
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland
Where required, we present a consent choice (via Google's certified consent management) before any advertising cookies that require consent are set, and ads are shown on a non-personalized basis if you do not consent. You have the right to access, correct, or erase personal data, and to withdraw consent, under the GDPR/UK GDPR. Google acts as an independent controller for the advertising data it processes; see Google's Privacy Policy.
If you are in California
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some sharing of advertising identifiers with ad partners may qualify as a "sale" or "sharing" under the CCPA/CPRA; you can opt out using the tools above (Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info). California residents may request access to or deletion of personal information by emailing [email protected].
Analytics
We use privacy-respecting, aggregate traffic measurement to understand which pages are useful. We do not build advertising profiles from it. If we add a named analytics provider, it will be listed here.
Children
This is a general-audience reference site and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data retention
Because we don't collect personal data through the site, there is nothing for us to retain about you. Server logs held by our infrastructure providers are kept only as long as those providers' standard security and operational policies require.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves (for example, when advertising is turned on or a new provider is added). The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
